TheAsia Pacific FinTech Landscape Symposium and the inaugural ceremony for ZJU'sInternational Business School were held on International Campus located inHaining on November 15.  

“Theestablishment of International Business School is one of the major advancesthat Zhejiang University has made in promoting its educational level andoptimizing its educational layout. I believe it will make great contributionsto the socio-economic development of the province, even the whole country. Ihope that it will adopt a grand strategy for social services, create a leadingbrand in international cooperation and build a successful team in disciplinaryconstruction,” said ZHU Congjiu, vice governor of Zhejiang Province

“Ihope that International Business School will be committed to promoting thejoint development of emerging finance, technologies and industries and makeconsiderable contributions to regional development," said ZJUPresident WU Zhaohui. "We should highlight more outstanding disciplinaryqualities in line with the strategic demands of new business studies, embrace amore inclusive spirit in the age of globalization and serve as a more typicalyardstick for education which caters to the strategic needs of industrialization." 

Markedby cross-border education, International Business School will construct amulti-level ecological system incorporating a network of world-renowneduniversities and institutions. It will make the most of such strategicopportunities as the integration of the Yangtze River Delta Area and thedevelopment of the Greater Bay Area in Zhejiang, implement a ZJU-based “1+N”multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary and multi-level partnership strategy,and focus on research and talent cultivation in the domains of emergingfinance, retailing, technologies, industries and markets.   

"InternationalBusiness School will aim at connecting global networks, promoting scientificand technological development and cementing close ties with world-classpartners," said BEN Shenglin, dean of International Business School in an interview.

Onthe same day, International Business School also signed a cooperativeagreements with Cambridge Judge Business School and Ascential—a Britishspecialist, global, information company.  

Atthe Asia Pacific FinTech Landscape Symposium, Zhejiang University, theUniversity of Cambridge and Asian Development Bank released a joint researchpaper. Scholars and experts held a heated roundtable discussion on"Innovation in financial technologies".
